These are photographs of Elm Boards extracted from the Brahan Estate (near Inverness) December 2019 to January 2020. They have been milled through and through at 52mm thick (50mm after kiln drying). The second selection were thicker at 60mm and 65mm off saw.

The trees were felled due to an infestation of Dutch Elm disease killed the trees. The bug only gets under the bark and kills the tree, so the timber is clean and clear. Some boards as can be seen have some burring and have come from 2 different logs  - each log set of boards are book-matched.
