Timber Supplies

Woodworkz aims to supply a full variety of local Scottish hardwoods and some softwoods,
namely European Larch and Douglas Fir. We are also active in seeking the more unusual
spaulted, pippy and burred timbers and will, when possible, store turning blanks too.

From time to time other timbers will be added to these pages as photos become available.
Note: A photo is no indication that we have that species in stock, nor is the lack of
a photo indicative that we don't stock it. Please see also our Prices page.

The intention is to mill timbers in standard sizes of 25-30mm, 50-65mm and up to 75mm
for kiln drying, although the latter size does take some time to dry properly without
significant wastage.

We also aim to keep air drying timbers such as Oak and Elm at around 100mm thickness
with a limited number of baulks up to 200mm as space allows.

Should you have a special requirement - and time - we can mill to order.

Of special interest is a supply of Yellow Pine from a church conversion which will be
kiln dried in due course and offered for restoration work and similar applications.
